The Broker — The Short Version
Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.
The BlackBull connection matters. It says the founder has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres banks and hedge funds use. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys did the opposite. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: FX, indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is broad.
What You Trade On
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is available for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the raw spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
The execution is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform quote hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is what kind of broker this is.
Pair that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Not many platforms in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Regulation
This is the detail that matters. The broker is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is tier-3. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The founder came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should inform your assessment.
The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you deposit.
